The first vintage of Jack Brooks Vineyard Cabernet was released in 2005. Our vineyard is “dry farmed” and was planted in 2000 to carefully selected clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Vineyard is situated in the Calistoga AVA on rocky alluvial soil at the foot of Mt. St. Helena, 1.5 miles north of the town of Calistoga. While dry farming reduces our overall yield, this technique produces intense, concentrated flavors in the fruit and the resulting wine. We only produce wines from grapes grown in our vineyard allowing us to control the quality of the wine from the vineyard to the bottle.
